SAN JUAN NIGHT

World-wide well-known and celebrated San Juan NIGHT hides the magic of the times, bonfires are made and people skip them, every old thing is burned and people "jump" to a new stage.
During San Juan NIGHT on 24th June, everything is possible, at least everything supernatural is, and tonight it is shortest night in the year and agrees with the summer solstice.
From the most distant times, people practice all kind of rites connected to the purification, the fecundity, requests for prosperity and the distance of the evils.
In order to arrive at all these previous states it was and it is essential: the bonfires and the water.
In these magical nocturnal hours, in which “the spirits go for a walk”, strange phenomena take place, especially people pay a tribute to the star that gives light and heat in its day of greater intensity “the SUN”, requesting to IT that it does not lose its force, nor its vigour.
It is a song to the SUN, whose first rays must be received with the body and the soul purified by the smoke and the morning dew.
San Juan NIGHT predisposes to believe all type of fantastic legends, the best thing is to open the mind and the spirit, to stop being rational and to enjoy thoroughly with the imagination and the tradition, the formula will be completely healthful.
In sum, the celebration of San Juan collets a long collection of rites where the elements of the Nature (water, fire, earth and air) invoke, during this night, a mystical and magical world.
