FREEDOM

What is understood by freedom? Most people understand it like the right to do everything what we want and not to have to do anything we do not want to.
That's to say, freedom would mean that our own will is the only norm for our actions and not only we can wish everything, but in addition we have the possibility to fulfil wishes of our own will. And although the freedom is a very important value, when freedom is considered as supreme value separated from any reference to a truth or to human nature, this freedom becomes lame, deaf, blind and stubborn. It is deaf and blind because it is not guided by any norm or value. It is stubborn, since without the light of the reason it is deprived of any discernment capacity.
Defined just by three words: truth, responsibility, relation.
TRUTH because freedom has a measurement. That measurement is the reality. If it is not adapted to it, freedom is destroyed. My freedom must be measured with "WHAT I AM". This truth is not a limitation of my freedom, but a condition for my authentic freedom.
RESPONSABILITY because all true freedom assumes the consequences of its acts. The freedom is capacity to self-determinate and this entails a responsibility. To greater degree of freedom, greater responsibility degree must be assumed. The good or bad use of our freedom will always have repercussions for us, the atmosphere or people near us.
RELATION because we are not alone nor separated from the others. Next to us there are other so many individual freedoms. A separated or directed freedom against the others is false.
Each one of us we would have to be exercised in a freedom that combines these three words: TRUTH, RESPONSABILITY, RELATION.
